Hard-To-Find 45 from Freeman Sound titled "Singing My Own Song/16 Tons" re-released by Starshine Productions (7059) in 1971. Second pressing of this single from local Cortland, Ohio band repressed after their first pressing quickly sold out. A-side has an original and quite good hard rock tune that has a radio friendly sound. Flipside turns the Merle Travis penned song "16 Tons" into a ferocious heavy psych rocker with a couple of searing fuzz-guitar breaks...KILLER! Fine example of well-executed independent garage/psych rock from our favorite era in pop music.
Labels are in NEAR MINT condition. Vinyl record is in EXCELLENT condition with nice luster, some light sleeve fogging and light edge warp that plays through without issue. Plays with normal surface noise common for 45 pressings. Still sounds great!
Record will be shipped in a secure box with cardboard flats.
