Excellent copy of the first album by The Pentangle on Transatlantic from 1968. This virtuoso five-piece delivered a mesmeric blend of folk, jazz, blues and more thanks to the twin guitar stylings of Bert Jansch and John Renbourne, underpinned by the jazzy rhythm section of double bass man Danny Thompson and deft drummer Terry Cox, with the whole lifted into the heavens by the pure and angelic vocals of Jacqui McShee.
The front laminated sleeve is pretty much excellent, with just a few minor creases and surface wrinkles.
The vinyl has a few surface lines and marks and grades VG++ visually but much closer to excellent on the audio, which is clear and bright.
The white and purple Transatlantic labels are in lovely condition – no damage, marks or writing and there is barely any spindle wear at all.
The vinyl is safely housed in a a plain white inner sleeve in excellent condition.
All in all a great copy of a groundbreaking genre-busting record, sure to become increasingly collectable.
