Jascha Heifetz thought of this as one of his showpieces, and he performs it to perfection.

Every soloist has a few pieces they excel at over all others, and I feel this is one that Heifetz excelled at. Bruch's "Scottish Fantasy Op. 46" and Vieuxtemps "Concerto No. 5 in A Minor; Op.37", with Sir Malcolm Sargent conducting the New Symphony Orchestra of London.

It was recorded in England under the great Decca team. Kenneth Wilkinson is the engineer.  Heifetz violin is recorded to perfection and the orchestra is tight. Luminous sound and superb playing
