This description is from another source: This record has long been on Harry Pearson's best record TAS list. RCA LSC-2500 is Fritz Reiner at his best conducting the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. These Strauss Waltzes are a perfect example of what a TAS lp should be. The string section is superb, with great transparency yet delicate. The woodwind and horn section are delightful, especially the clarinets. The bass is deep and thunderous at the same time. If your wondering why the stamper numbers are so high, this record never had any low number stampers below the teens due to pressing issues.
