Bowie. How do you define Bowie? The word alone conjures up so many images, so many styles, so many memories. Bowie. An indelible influence on all of us whether we know it or not. The fashion of the last 30 years, the music, the bands influenced, and mere mortals as well. How different we would be as people had Bowie had not existed at all! His influence affects my life almost daily in some small way. When I hear one of those iconic, cooler than anything else songs, I am in that Bowie frame of mind. Bowie. The one artist who dared to try something different, changing his style and genre with each release. We all moved with him, growing and shape shifting in a common bond that we understood, embraced, loved, and have been grateful for in our lives. This has been in rotation on my turntable. It is a sonic blast of freshness, as cool a tribute as the Main Man himself. You can feel the love that went into each and every track. This just might be my new favorite Bowie album.
