                                                                                             UK PYE CONTRACT PRESS ,1969/1970 , ATLANTIC  , VG++ CONDITION .

HAS "588 - 198 - A  " AND "(number 9 etched out and replaced with number 8)): 588 - 198 - B  " ETCHED IN RUNOUT GROOVE.

this contract pressing was printed by the UK Pye end 1969 early 1970. The copyright information are listed as ‘Copyright Control", when later red/plum labels state ’Warner Bros and Jewel Music.
To meet the high demand for this album at that time, Polydor sub bargained the pressing of few copies to Pye. It is recognized because has a groove inside the label and matrices end ONLY with the letter A (side 1) and B (side 2). Error with etchings (number 9 is etched out and replaced with number 8 on B-side)
Spine title: Led Zeppelin 2 (instead of II) . The sleever is light brown in colour. Sleeve credit contains 'The Lemon Song'
This recording has "Whole Lotta Love" (A1), "The Lemon Song" (A3) & "Bring It On Home" (B5) credited to band members. These four elements had credit changes effected on later issues, together with a retitling of tracks A3 & B2.

NICE VINYL WITH QUITE AN IMPRESSIVE PLAYING QUALITY FOR A PYE CONTRACT PRESS . LOVELY LABELS WITH VERY LITTLE SPINDLE MARKS .

THE MOST INTERESTING THING ABOUT THIS AUCTION IS THE SLEEVE , UNLAMINATED CLEAR BROWN WITH LED ZEPPELIN 2 ON THE SPINE . USUALLY THESE VERY EARLY CLEAR BROWN SLEEVE ALWAYS HAVE RINGWEAR AND USE . THIS ONE IS VERY BEAUTIFUL WITH THE LIGHTEST RINGWEAR IN THE BACK BUT THE REST OF THE SLEEVE LOOKING OUTSTANDING .

RECORD GRADING IS M= A perfect, unplayed record . NM= Record appearsnew, At most, perhaps a barely visible sleeve mark appears on therecord. It should play without any noise or skips of any kindwhatsoever. VG++= Record has some extremely light surface marks. Thesemarks do not affect play. Very nice copy VG+= Record has noticeablemarks, Light surface scratches and may play with some very lightnoise, but doesn't overpower the music, Still very enjoyable. VG=Record has noticeable marks and scratches, plays with noise

I'LL DESCRIBE EVERY RECORD CAREFULLY . SOUND SAMPLE WILL ALSO HELP YOU GET AN IDEA OF THE CONDITION.
