This is a rare original album sent out to family and friends with a Christmas card attached. Do not confuse this with a widely circulated bootleg or re-press, which are often found with white labels. The card is missing from this copy. I obtained this from someone who said they were a friend of a Beastie Boys member.

Description
Sleeve Grade: Shrink wrapped but opened to check the colour and label. Thick card sleeve with shelf 'dings' on the tips of the lower corners. I think an Excellent+ grade is reasonable for this. Vinyl Grade: Unplayed as far as I can see. Maybe a faint scuff from where the disc was removed from the sleeve for inspection. No obvious spindle traces. That One Time The Beastie Boys Made A Country Album APRIL 4, 2017 // RIOT FEST In the year 2000, the Beastie Boys recorded a full length country LP as a Christmas gift for friends and family. Only a few hundred copies of ‘Country Mike’s Greatest Hits’, or ‘Country Mike’s Greatest Hits; Railroad Blues, Country Mike’s Theme, Don’t Let The Air Out My Tires, Sloppy Drunks, Kenny Jones, & Other Sing-A-Long Favorites!’ were made and sent out with a Christmas card from “Country Mike and The Boys”.
In the liner notes of the Beastie Boys compilation The Sounds of Science, Adam Yauch explains, “At some point after Ill Communication came out, Mike got hit in the head by a large foreign object and lost all of his memory. As it started coming back he believed that he was a country singer named Country Mike. The psychologists told us that if we didn’t play along with Mike’s fantasy, he could be in grave danger. Finally he came back to his senses. This song (“Railroad Blues”) is one of the many that we made during that tragic period of time.”
Of particular note is the song “Country Delight,” which uses the baseline from the Sugarhill Gang‘s ‘Rapper’s Delight’. (Info courtesy of Riot Fest)
 The Beastie Boys spent an afternoon in the studio (I’m guessing) and emerged with a Christmas present for a few hundred of their closest friends. For the recording it was necessary to create a quasi-fictional character known as “Country Mike,” a signal that Mike D. would be handling most of the vocals. The album was called Country Mike’s Greatest Hits, and it featured a baker’s dozen of half-assed and wildly entertaining country ditties. (Dangerous Minds). Payment
