It's 1967, the summer of love, Hendrix is taking London by storm, hippies are flourishing and music's taking another shift, this time in a heavily psychedelic direction. Winds of Change was a very different proposition to The Animals' early albums, part of the British blues and R&B boom, and it still sounds like nothing else they ever recorded.
This is a genuine UK first pressing and has plenty of life left in it.
The front laminated flipback sleeve has some corner creasing, minor spine creasing and a repaired 4-inch tear to the opening edge, but the back cover is clean, the spine is square and clearly readable and it grades a strong VG.
The heavyweight vinyl has plenty of scuffs, marks and hairlines, but nothing particularly bad. It plays through fine with no skips or sticks - there is surface noise but the music dominates this for the most part, and there's the odd tic. It's still a good listening experience and I'd grade it VG to VG+.
The yellow and black MGM labels are EX.
The plain white paper inner sleeve is in fine condition with no seam splits and grades VG++.
Great to find a UK 1st pressing - this will prove a good purchase with further room to upgrade.
Sensible start price. Offers above the start price welcome!
