Orig. 1978 album however it is marked with an "SP" which according to discogs is a speciality edition- the special label is different from the first pressing.  Pricing reflects that this is a special edition.  

This is a vintage vinyl album of the self-titled debut by The Cars, released in 1978 by Elektra Records. This first pressing LP is in very good plus (VG) condition, with only minor signs of wear on the record itself.  The sleeve is in very good (VG) condition as well, with some slight creases and shelf wear.

This album features all the hits that made The Cars a household name, including "Just What I Needed," "My Best Friend's Girl," and "Good Times Roll." The new wave and pop rock sound of The Cars influenced a generation of musicians and still resonates with fans today. This record is a must-have for any serious collector of vintage vinyl.

NOTE: I sold this album previously to a buyer who asked to return it because he claims it was unplayable and warped.  I just received it back, and I of course always give the benefit of the doubt so I refunded him immediately upon receipt.  However, after very careful inspection, and playing the entire album, all songs, both sides, it is in excellent condition, it is NOT warped, and it plays perfectly.  I was duped out of two shipping charges and the buyer was clearly dishonest and made inaccurate comments on my feedback section.  I will be on the VERY conservative side and rate this record VG condition even though it is more likely VG+ or EX, and I will not accept returns or refund in the event of USPS mishandling (which is originally what I thought happened, since I would never sell a damaged item).
