The Add-A-Part series ("S" series) was released by Columbia during the 1940’s and featured complete recordings of popular classical music with one instrument part missing.
Purchasers of this series who played or were learning to play an instrument were able to accompany the recorded ensemble as it played on their phonograph...
All recordings were supplied with the requisite sheet music as part of the price.

Any heavy scuffing or deep scratching will be noted NO Matter what the grade. Edge chips into grooves will be noted and photos will be shown when necessary. E+ (M-) Almost New with virtually no signs of playing and little signs of handling (Mint Minus)
E (NM)Like above but may show a bit more signs of playing or handling, may show a few light surface type scuffing or very light scratching That does not affect play (Near Mint)
E- (NM / VG++) Shows more signs of playing and handling with light surface type scuffing or scratching not affecting play. (Near Mint / Very Good ++)
V++ (VG++) Shows some wear, record has been played often and there MAY be some light noise, shows light scuffing and surface type scratches
V+ (VG+) This record is playable and shows signs of being played, some light graying be present, surface type scuffing and scratching are more prominent (Very Good+)
V (VG) Record shows signs of wear, graying, light scuffing and scratching throughout but playable, expect noise (Very Good)
V- (VG-) A well worn record that will most likely be noisy, a lot of wear, scratching and scuffs (Very Good Minus)
Records Should Be CLEANED Before use. Some records may have SURFACE type scuffs and scratches that should not affect play. Some records may have very small edge chips that DO NOT AFFECT GROOVES
