Deicide's awesome 1990 debut album! So why is the starting price so low, when this one often sells for over £150?
The vinyl isn't in great shape and the whole package is far from mint.
SLEEVE Not bad at all. Presentable enough for a 34 year old record. Ringwear on the cover and some general wear. Title of record is still readable on spine.
INNER SLEEVE Good apart from a couple of corner bends, see pics.
VINYL The vinyl has lots of hairline marks that resemble light scratches. I played Side One and it had surface noise from the start. This did ease off a bit by Song Two, but this side of the record skipped on at least two occasions. The very end of Lunatic Of God's Creation was skipped entirely, for instance. I would expect Side Two to be much the same. But the sound quality is actually okay when it's not skipping or excessively noisy.
So this is a record for a Deicide fan who isn't an audiophile, doesn't care about the odd skip and just wants to freak out to quality death metal. Or maybe for a fan who can't afford a mint version and just wants a nice piece of legit OG vinyl with awesome packaging!
From the collection of veteran Kerrang! writer Jason Arnopp, who interviewed Glen Benton on more than one occasion. (This is a double he acquired over the years...)
