WE HAVE DEVISED A CHART FOR AIDING IN OUR ASSESSMENT. PRICES AND GRADINGS ARE DERIVED FROM ITS USE.
(PLEASE SEE CHART):
SEALED - IS SEALED NEAR MINT - RARE TO NO USE AT ALL. EXTREMELY FAINT, IF ANY AT ALL MARKINGS TO THE DISK/RECORD. MARKS ONLY SEEN WITH INTENSE LIGHTING, AND WILL POSESS AN OVERALL NEW LIKE APPEARANCE. EXCELLENT – PLAYED SELDOM WITH APPARENT CARE. APPEARANCE IS VERY NEAR NEW, WITH UP TO A FEW VERY FAINT AND SUPERFICIAL SCRATCH AND/OR SCUFF MARKS. ASSUMED TO BE NEAR PERFECT FOR AUDIO ENJOYMENT. VERY GOOD PLUS – ANY WELL CARED FOR DISK/RECORD HAVING LIGHT SCRATCH AND/OR SCUFF MARKS SPORADIC THROUGHOUT, WHICH ARE VISIBLE; BUT NOT AS PREVALENT AS THE BELOW FACTORED VG CONDITIONS. THESE DISKS APPEAR TO HAVE LIGHT TO MEDIUM USE, BUT WERE WELL CARED FOR. THEY WILL POSESS MEDIUM TO STRONG LUSTER AND BASED ON VISUAL APPEARANCE, SHOULD HAVE ABOVE AVERAGE AUDIBLE SHARPNESS. VERY GOOD – ANY DISK/RECORD HAVING SCRATCH AND/OR SCUFF MARKS THROUGHOUT, WHICH ARE CLEARLY VISIBLE AND ASSUMED TO BE SURFACE ONLY. THESE RECORDS WERE PLAYED OFTEN, YET TAKEN CARE OF. THEIR MAY BE SOME LOSS IN LUSTER AND WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE AREAS OF MINOR TO MEDIUM AUDIBLE DISTURBANCE (i.e. POPS, CLICKS, HISS AND/OR STATIC) SPORADIC THROUGHOUT. GOOD PLUS - ANY DISK/RECORD HAVING SCRATCH AND/OR SCUFF MARKS THROUGHOUT. THE MARKS WILL BE CLEARLY VISIBLE AND POSSIBLY UP TO A FEW THAT ARE ROUGH TO THE TOUCH. HOWEVER, RECORDS QUALIFYING THIS CATEGORY, ARE PLAY-TESTED TO ENSURE PLAY-THROUGH ABILITY. THEY WILL APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN PLAYED OFTEN, BUT OTHERWISE CARED FOR. THEY MAY OR WILL HAVE SOME LOSS IN LUSTER AND AUDIO DEFECTS (i.e. POPS, CLICKS, HISS AND/OR STATIC) SPORADIC THROUGHOUT.
GOOD – GOOD IS REALLY BAD!!! ANY DISK/RECORD HAVING EXCESSIVE MARKS THROUGHOUT AND IS ASSUMED BY EVEN A QUICK GLANCE, TO BE QUESTIONABLE FOR PLAYTHROUGH ABILITY. THESE RECORDS APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN PLAYED HARD AND OFTEN. (ALL RECORDS QUALIFYING THIS CATEGORY ARE DISCARDED, UNLESS RARE. IF RARE AND LISTED FOR THAT REASON, THEY WILL BE TESTED THOROUGHLY AND DESCRIBED WITHIN).
