Tortoise's production expertise hit an early peak with Millions Now Living Will Never Die, a work that not only references studio-centric forms like dub and electronica, but actively welds them to the group's aesthetic of sturdily constructed indie rock. (AllMusic)                                                                              GRADING STANDARDS

Mint (M): A Mint record and jacket must both be absolutely perfect in every way. For this reason the grade is seldom used, even with sealed albums where the record itself can only assumed to be mint. Near Mint (NM): A nearly perfect record and jacket that shows no obvious signs of wear or defects. Excellent (EX) or (VG++): Also a nearly perfect record and jacket with a minimum of audible or visual imperfections. Very Good Plus (VG+): Record will show some signs of wear such as slight scuffs or very light scratches, that don't affect one's listening experience. Jackets may also have slight signs of wear. Any specific serious flaws in either the record or jacket will be noted. Very Good (VG): Many of the defects listed for a VG+ record or jacket will be more pronounced on a VG album. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, but will not overpower the music otherwise.  Good (G): A record in good condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without any repeating "skips", although it will have more severe audible surface noise and scratches than a VG record. Jackets will also have more pronounced defects than a VG cover.
