....In 1960 when Elvis was discharged from the army nobody knew what all that time away from his fans would do to his career.  RCA proposed to release an extended play album featuring some of Elvis' biggest hits from the 1950's. This project was called "Elvis by Request" in which Love Me was featured along with Hound Dog, Don't Be Cruel, and Jailhouse Rock.  Plans for the project were all drawn up and the extended play was actually issued a catalog number.  At the time many record companies like RCA were trying to create a universal format (in this case 33 1/3) for all releases.  After the amazing success of It's Now or Never (45 rpm), Elvis is Back, and G.I. Blues RCA decided to scrap the Love Me EP.  One year later they would release the one and only Elvis EP to run at 33 1/3 speed which was called "Elvis by Request" in which Flaming Star was coupled with three other songs.  The Love Me EP was soon forgot (in fact the knowledge of its existence wouldn't come until the early 1990's).  Commemorating this release 250 copies of it were pressed on blue vinyl, and 250  on black vinyl. These are very rare.  Good luck finding one.  The blue is much harder to find than the black pressings.  Get this awesome collectible that is sure to continue to rise in value for that Elvis collector in your life.  The record carries the catalog number that RCA had issued for the record before the entire idea was scrapped.  This copy is in mint condition..THIS IS THE LAST COPY....I HAVE ONE BLUE PRESSING AND ONE BLACK PRESSING AND UNLESS I FIND ANOTHER COLLECTOR WILLING TO SELL ME HIS THESE ARE ALL THAT ARE LEFT..GOOD LUCK FINDING THEM ANYWHERE!!!!!... These are so limited that I urge you to get yours today before all of them fall into the hands of collectors.  AS A BONUS YOU WILL RECEIVE A FACSIMILE OF THE ORIGINAL RCA PAPERWORK!!
