- Performed by the Sinfonia Varsovia and the Silesian Philharmonic choir.
- Winner of the 1995 César Award for Best Music.
- Preisner has also worked with Jean Becker (on Élisa (1995), winner of the 1996 César Award for Best Music), Thomas Vinterberg (It's All About Love (2003)), and Claude Miller (Un secret (2007)).
- LP includes CD.
- "The Three Colours Trilogy marked the culmination a decade of collaborations between director Krzysztof Kieslowski and composer Zbigniew Preisner. Their film work is characterised by musical moments which illuminate the story and open up channels of interpretation between the work and the audience. These are cinematic narratives -- as Stanley Kubrick once said of Kieslowski's The Decalogue -- which dramatise ideas, rather than merely talk about them. Preisner's music is central to that process." --The Guardian
