NIGEL MAZLYN JONES - SHIP TO SHORE - ACID FOLK - NEW

Amazing underground UK singer/sonwriter folk that reminds me of John Martyn crossed with Cat Stevens. The music is beautiful and the lyrics have amazing depth, showing a very strong connection with nature and spirituality. Some of the material is expermential, with some echo on the acoustic guitar, and a couple of extended acoustic jams. The title song is quite progressive actually, and kind of reminds me of Peter Hammill at his most frantic during the early Van Der Graaf days. Nigel's 12-string guitar playing and singing are excellent as well. I totally reccomend this album for anyone who like the early 70's UK folk scene, and has a taste for adventurous music.
