I suppose in that respect this is probably the quintessential Cure album because it retains some of the melancholy of albums like 'Seventeen Seconds' and 'Pornography' but manages to be light enough to stand shoulder to shoulder with poppier efforts like 'Kiss Me. Kiss Me, Kiss Me'.  Sitting somewhere between the nightmare and the dream, between the majestic and the maudlin. It's instrumental beauty evokes a deluge of emotionally effusive images in my mind's eye that is never anything short of spine tingling but despite it containing some really strong singles it's actually tracks like 'Last Dance' and 'Same Deep Water As You' that really keep me coming back to this gem.   WHY NOT CHECK OUT MY EBAY STORE -
