PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! MINT CLEAN in original factory shrink wrapper

ORIGINAL 1967 MONO first pressing, hard to find especially in clean condition like this... the mono song mixes in bold monaural production which differs from the stereo release!

Contains the original printed MGM inner sleeve

Released in the United States only -- in 1967, by MGM Records, during the gap between the time that the original incarnation of The Animals broke up, and the new incarnation, billed as Eric Burdon & The Animals, was created. Eric Is Here featured Burdon and drummer Barry Jenkins, and it is highly possible that some members of the first incarnation Animals were present during the sessions...Eric is Here is an underrated album, being an oddity in Eric's vast and varied catalogue. The songs are jazzy, with a poprock sound that contains influence from the Beach Boys primarily Pet Sounds. It also has a soul/ Motown feel to it with a touch of Otis Redding. Eric's vocals are very impassioned and he sings with conviction.

1. In The Night sets the mood of the album. It has a dark and dreamy sound to it.

2. Mama Told Me Not To Come ...The intro is very baroque like and totally turns swampy. Eric does a great job interpreting a track that would later become a big hit by another band.

3. I Think It's Going To Rain is a sad song about lost love which most of this album is. Making that the common theme. Darkness, love (mostly lost), and redemption.

4. On This Side Of Goodbye is another song about lost love.

5. That Ain't Where It's At is one of the more known songs of this album. And justifibly so. It is one of the best tracks and most up tempo. Contains some real anger.

6. True Love (Comes Only Once In A Lifetime) is definitly one of three or four standout tracks. It has an oriental sound to it at the beginning w/ female background vocalists making it weird and exhilerating at the same time. Eric vocals on this song are simply astounding! The raw emotion of hurt and love he conveys especially at the end! What a powerful track!

7. Help Me Girl is probably the most famous song from this set... It is a great song with a lot of emotion as some of the best music on the album .

8. Wait Til Next Year is one of the weaker songs on the album and perhaps the least memorable of the songs.

9. Losin' Control has a lot of urgency and way Eric sings makes very worthwile.

10. It's Not Easy is quite simply a catchy, amazing song and another highlight on the album. Absolutely essential.

11. The Biggest Bundle Of Them All is very Motownish. Definitly one of the better tracks.

12. It's Been A Long Time Comin' begins w/ a crack from a snare drum and establishes the climax of this album. This is absolutly a highpoint and is another of the best songs on the album. The tune is soulful and has an Otis Redding feel. The perfect ending to an underrated album.
