"THE SECRETS" **Hey, Big Boy b/w The Other Side Of Town** 1964 Single 45 rpm Original Picture Sleeve On Philips 40173 *P/S VG, Vinyl NM Condition* And A One Owner!

SEE LAST FRAME OF PHOTO GALLERY FOR TRACK TIMES, CREDITS, ANY MATRIX RUNOUTS OR OTHER IDENTIFIERS.

ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVE VG:  Original 1964 Philips label paper Picture Sleeve is a bit rough, but at least VG condition for its age.  No side or bottom edge splits.  Mouth edge is rough, but no egregious rips or tears.  No glue separation on the edges.  Vintage price sticker on one side, and peeled off price sticker glue residue on the opposite side.  A small punch hole just below bottom center and a small staple hole near one of the top corners.  All four corners have bent areas, but no large or serious creases.  Glue on the side edges has yellowed with age.  No serious ring/shelf wear is visible.  Entire sleeve has some yellowing with age (not nicotine) but the plain unfinished nature of the sleeve is mostly to blame.  The yellowing is more pronounced in the photos and not all that serious to the naked eye.  Sleeve is far from perfect, but is no worse than acceptable for being over 50 years old.

LABELS VG To VG+:  Labels are in decent shape overall, but not at all perfect.  Light to moderate ring/shelf wear is noticeable on both labels.  No scratches, graffiti or other common user damage.  Colors are a little dull, but still acceptable.  Printing is also a bit faint, but acceptable as well.  Very, very light to near zero wear around the spindle hole.  A little worn, but all around, not too bad.  The punch hole mentioned above, is at about 8:00 on the "A" side (see photo).

VINYL RECORD EX To NM:  Both sides of the record are virtually scratch free, but there is one tiny scratch on the "B" side early into the track (barely visible).  No scuffs or other user damage.  Little to no obvious wear, and the visual appearance is exceptional for a record of this age.  Vinyl plays back nicely with no skips, hangs or excessive surface noise.  Almost totally noise free, and super nice sounding.

BOTH SIDES OF THIS 45 WERE GRADED AUDIBLY, AND "LOUD" IN STEREO MODE SO THAT ANY AND ALL NOISE COULD BE DOCUMENTED FOR THIS DESCRIPTION.  NO HEADPHONES GRADING!

SIDE "A" HEY, BIG BOY:  Zero noise at intro with the exception of one light pop.  Clean, gutsy sound. Very clean throughout, virtually no noise during the track.  Very light noise in the trail off area.  I gave side "A" an "A-" audibly.  Side sounds great overall.

SIDE "B" THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN:  Very light to near zero noise at intro.  Again, nice sound and separation, but a little tinny sounding.  Virtually no noise during the tracks' play, certainly nothing distracting.   Near zero noise in the trail off area.  Nothing during playback to warrant any sort of downgrade.  I gave side "B" an "A-" grade audibly also.  Not noisy at all, and sounds very nice.

SUMMARY:  The picture sleeve is a little rough all around, but acceptable for its age, and the vinyl has no noise issues on either side.  The record is certainly qualified for re-recording to another audio medium in my opinion.  The record has almost no visible wear and is still very shiny.  Its visual appearance is a "beaut".  For the most part, the record package, while rough in spots, was well cared for overall, and is still in pretty nice condition, especially the vinyl pressing.

Questions regarding this record will be answered honestly and as promptly as possible.

I am not a dealer, nor will I pretend to be an expert on grading records. I'm just a guy that's been buying and collecting records for over 50 years. I use Goldmines price guide as a tool when either buying or selling an album or 45. My listing procedure is: to clean the record (if necessary), visually inspect record and album cover for obvious imperfections, and to play each record in its entirety to check for sound quality. I try to simply give my honest opinion of the record's condition without the technical gobbledygook. I believe that grading a record can be as subjective as judging Olympic figure skating, therefore, my opinion may well differ from yours as a prospective buyer, either in a positive or in a negative way. I simply offer a full money back guarantee + shipping cost on any record that I sell, if you are not 100% satisfied with the purchase. I do not want negative feedback in the event that I overlook an egregious flaw or if my opinion of the record is beneath the buyer's expectations. If you are the end buyer and are dissatisfied in any way, please contact me immediately and return the record in the condition you received it within 10 days of the purchase date. I ship same or next business day after payment is received. All records with a purchase price of $25.00 or more will be insured (included in the shipping price).  Records are shipped in custom fitted record shipping cartons with protective plastic covering.

Please do not ask me to discount shipping on single item purchases. In order to get buyers their items as quickly as possible, I ship same or next business day upon confirmation of receipt of payment. I live out in the sticks. It is 17 miles round trip to the nearest mailing center and my old truck gets crummy mileage, so I must consider fuel when calculating shipping costs. Multiple items purchases will be bundled and a discounted shipping fee negotiated, based on type(s) of items purchased. Thanks for your consideration.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: Import duties, taxes and charges are NOT INCLUDED in this item's price or shipping charges. Also, law prohibits devaluing the actual purchase price, and/or stating that this item is a "Gift".

If you are buying "THE SECRETS", thanks, I appreciate it!!
