He rose to fame in the early 1990s with his , sonically experimental style, and he became well known for creating musical  of a wide range of styles. His later recordings encompass , , , , ,  and . He has released 12 studio albums, as well as several non-album singles and a book of sheet music.

Born in  in 1970, Beck discovered hip hop and folk music in his teens and began to perform locally at coffeehouses and clubs. He moved to New York City in 1989 and became involved in the city's small but intense movement. After returning to his hometown in the early 1990s, he cut his breakthrough single "", which became a worldwide hit in 1994. His 1996 album  produced hit singles, topped critic polls and won several awards. He released the stripped-down  in 1998, and the funk-infused  in 1999. The downcast, acoustic  (2002) showcased a more serious Beck, and 2005's  returned to-based production.  (2006) was inspired by electro-funk and , and  (2008), likewise, by 1960s music. In February 2014, Beck released the album . It won  at the  on February 8, 2015.

With a  collage of musical styles, oblique and  lyrics, and  arrangements incorporating , , live instrumentation and sound effects, Beck has been hailed by critics and the public throughout his musical career as being among the most creative and idiosyncratic musicians of 1990s and 2000s . Two of Beck's most popular and acclaimed recordings are Odelay and Sea Change, both of which were ranked on 's list of . Early life

Beck was born in Los Angeles, to , a Canadian-born musician, and , a visual artist and former . Bibbe's maternal grandmother was , while Bibbe's father, , was partly of  descent. Beck has said that he was "raised celebrating Jewish holidays", and that he considers himself Jewish. Beck's mother grew up amid New York's  art scene of the 1960s, but moved to California at age 17, where she met Campbell. His father is a Canadian-born arranger, composer and conductor who worked on hundreds of albums and numerous films.

Beck began life in a rooming house near downtown Los Angeles. As a child, he lived in a declining neighborhood just off . "By the time we left there, they were ripping out miles of houses en masse and building low-rent, giant apartment blocks," he later recalled. The lower-class family struggled financially, moving to Hoover and Ninth Street, a neighborhood populated primarily by  and  refugees. He was sent for a time to live with his paternal grandparents in , with Beck later remarking that "I think they were kind of concerned" about his "weird" home life. Since his paternal grandfather was a  minister, Beck grew up influenced by church music and hymns. Beck also spent time in Europe with his maternal grandfather, , a visual  artist and a pioneer in the   movement.

Packaging :

I take great care during packaging and do each one personally. I use hand cut cardboard, which I get from a trucking company. (It's so thick that you will save it and use it again.) Each piece is 1/4 inch thick and together they are very stronge. I always remove the record from the picture sleeve and add clear plastic and record sleeve. All packages are marked in red and white "Handle With Care Fragile" sticker on one side.

Postage :

You have to pay for the postage.   This record will weigh 6 ounces when ready to ship. US winners can figure out your own postage costs for US First Class with tracking. I will send it through USPS and you will get an email with the tracking number. Overseas winners will get it sent by First Class Mail International. (Buyers from Brazil, France will assume all risks for shipping to your country.) I will send your record as soon as you pay. (same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM, Monday thru Saturday) I will combine postage if you win more than one record. Please wait for my invoice for all of your winnings in one package
