Moby Grape's first pressings of the first debut album was released in small quantities in the USA. The first issue has an image of the band with Don Stevenson ''giving the finger'' on both cover and poster. As this was (belatedly) considered to be obscene most copies were retired and replaced with a new cover in which the finger had been airbrushed. Here I am listing the (in)famous first LP Release by MOBY GRAPE featuring the original Artwork with the Middle Finger pointing downwards, which was considered as being rude band the album was quickly withdrawn from sale, making original copies of the LP Instant Collectors Item.

This the ORIGINAL US MEGA RARE STEREO 1st pressing from 1967 WITH THE "FINGER" PHOTO IN THE FRONT SLEEVE. This LP is seriously RARE AND HARD TO FIND!

The vinyl is visually graded in very good condition. Please see below a description of the grade as this is a 48 year old record that has been well played and will not transform into anything different to the condition stated. The value of this record is his rarity rather than its condition.

The two eye 1st Press RED Columbia labels are in excellent condition.

The delicate thick cardboard black sleeve with the finger photo is in very good condition with marks, ring, edge and corner wear.

The spine is mostly legible with corner and edge wear.

Visually-graded vinyl: A visual grading will identify physical flaws (such as scratches) and can help determine whether a record has been cared-for properly. A visual grading will not identify noise or crackle caused by non-visible sources. Most of the records I sell are between thirty and fifty years old and so it is likely that there may be some background noise even if they look perfect.

I am not a dealer but an amateur collector selling duplicated items or records that I no longer want to keep (mostly due to space). I do not clean records (other than a dust with anti-static) and unless indicated in the listing the records have been only visually inspected.

To show your record has arrived safely and you are happy, please leave feedback and I will reciprocate.

I offer reduced postage rates for combined multiple purchases.  Usually I post on Thursdays or Saturdays. Items are not insured and I will not be responsible for items lost or damaged in the post. All items are properly packaged and I always obtain proof of postage.  Should you want to insure the item by registered post, please let me know and I will find out the additional cost. Please note that, whilst it it comparatively rare for items to be lost or damaged in the post , my part of the transaction contract is legally completed as soon as the item is in the hands of the Post Office. I will not, therefore, accept responsibility for any loss or damage by the Postal Services. Whilst I am happy to provide help and advice, all such claims remain the responsibility of and must be made by the buyer.

If the bidding exceeds £50, in the UK the item will be ONLY sent insured by special recorded next day guaranteed delivery post (insured up to a value of £500) at a cost of £7. The above P&P quoted is for UK only and the same principal on insurance will apply to international bidders who will need to pay £5.7 insurance in addition to the p&p.

I am happy dealing with international bidders but only accept PayPal and please contact for p&p costs.
