Neil Young 1st Press US LP Everybody knows this is nowhere EX ’69 Reprise RS6349 Neil Young & Crazy Horse Everybody knows this is nowhere

Original 1st Press US LP released in 1969 on Reprise Records. Cat: RS6349. Comes in heavy weight gatefold sleeve.

This batch of LP’s are from a very recently acquired collection of all original late 60’s early 70’s pressing LP’s. There are around 200 albums I hope to list over the coming weeks some fantastic titles amongst them most over 45 years old!! I have hand cleaned and listened to every album and graded conservatively (as per usual) to give the most accurate grading I can. I hope you enjoy browsing or bidding on the titles as much as I have listening to them all.

Neil Young's second solo album, released only four months after his first, was nearly a total rejection of that polished effort. Though a couple of songs, "Round Round (It Won't Be Long)" and "The Losing End (When You're On)," shared that album's country-folk style, they were altogether livelier and more assured. The difference was that, while Neil Young was a solo effort, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere marked the beginning of Young's recording association with Crazy Horse, the trio of Danny Whitten (guitar), Ralph Molina (drums), and Billy Talbot (bass) that Young had drawn from the struggling local Los Angeles group the Rockets. With them, Young quickly cut a set of loose, guitar-heavy rock songs "Cinnamon Girl," "Down by the River," and "Cowgirl in the Sand" that redefined him as a rock & roll artist.

Tracks: Cinnamon girl/ Everybody knows this is nowhere/ Down by the river/  The losing end/ Running dry/ Cowgirl in the sand.

Labels are lovely and clean with only a few spindle marks visible. Record has some light scuff marks that cause a few light crackles throughout most noticeable at start of sides and is in Excellent condition. Thick heavy weight gatefold cover has light ring wear and marks, a few tiny surface tears around edges and some age spots on inside of gatefold and is in VG++ condition.
