PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. MINT CLEAN TOP COPY

~~ SUPER-CLEAN ALL OVER!!!

Original 1971 first pressing vinyl in unipak gatefold cover of a loud hard rock underground classic called BULL ANGUS -- in the vein of Sir Lord Baltimore, etc.

Includes the scarce printed inner sleeve

This is the first album of the hard and heavy rock outfit that goes by the name of BULL ANGUS. Heavy riffing guitars, sharp bass lines and great vocals all the way. Not unlike the heavy rock classics of their day, the band has the ability to write great melodies and mix them with long explosive instrumental parts and amazing guitar leads.

featuring drummer Geno Charles, twin lead guitarists Larry LaFalce and Dino Paolillo, keyboardist Ron Piccolo, lead singer Frankie Previte, and bassist Lenny Venditti

- Opening up with 'Run Don't Stop' the album opens with a blazing rocker that has it all; pounding rhythm, killer melody, crushing guitars, and a nice vocal.
- Kicked along by Piccolo's organ, and Previte's snarling vocals, 'Mother's Favorite Lover (Margaret)' reminds of early Deep Purple. Great subject matter; a mom with lesbian tendencies.
- The subject matter's always been a mystery (though kind of ominous), but 'Uncle Duggie's Fun Bus Ride' sports a catchy melody, some killer lead guitar, and showcased the band's killer harmony vocals. Very nice.
- In marked contrast to the rest of the album, 'A Time Like Ours' found the band pursuing a distinctive progressive direction. Mind you, propelled by some nifty twin lead guitar from LaFalce and Paolillo, it wasn't pompous ELP-styled prog, but rather stands as one of the unexpected album highlights. The song is also interesting for showcasing the band's unexpectedly tight harmony vocals.
- For some reason 'Miss Casey' lyrics are humorous, assuming the song wasn't meant to be humorous, but within the confines of this 7 and a half minute song the band somehow managed to cobble together all the elements that are now associated with hard rock song - screaming lead vocals, dumber-than-dirt, hyper sexist lyrics ("you're my morning do"), cart wailing organ, blazing twin lead guitars, Cro-Magnon bass, and multiple time changes. And we love it ...
- Penned by LaFalce, 'Pot of Gold' was the most mainstream and commercial track. With a strong melody, a great lead guitar pattern, and some wonderful harmony vocals, this one would have made a dandy FM hit.
- Coming as a totally unexpected surprise, the acoustic ballad 'Cy' showcased the band's 'sensitive' side. Beautiful song with fantastic acoustic guitars and it even included a bit of scatting.
- Time to get heavy ... 'No Cream for the Maid' (hysterical title), found the band shifting their standard metal moves to incorporate some progressive moves. Such hybrids usually fall flat on their faces, but these guys were talented enough to pull it off resulting in one of the album's best tracks.
