My Love Is 4:07 Beautiful Delilah 2:09 Sportin' Life 3:09 Four Hundred And Five 2:09 Mystic Mourning 5:58 Sadie Said No 2:46 Speed Kills 1:42 Blue Avenue 2:50 South End Incident (I'm Afraid) 3:53 Green Destroys The Gold 4:00 The Prophet 4:33   This is one of the first albums I picked up when I started my rediscovery of 60's era psych, garage, folk rock, etc so perhaps my views on it are somewhat skewed for the impact it made. Just as there are different kinds of prog rock, punk, etc there are different ilks of 60's psych music. If I had to give a definition of what pure psychedelic rock was this album along with others like JA's "After Bathing at Baxters", "Plastic Cloud", Love's "Forever Changes", Pretty Things "SF Sorrow" The Fallen Angels "It's a Long Way Down" would be that definition. It's not in the Electric Prunes, Seeds, Blues Magoos vein of garage psych but just straight up psychedelic rock.

All the hallmarks of the genre can be found in this record. It's filled with powerful drumming, piercing guitar leads, droning, hypnotic basslines, eerie organ fills and plaintive, expressive vocals and it rocks pretty convinvingly. There are a couple of misteps ("Four Hundred and Five"-"Speed Kills") but the bulk of the record is made up of stellar tracks. Much of it is made up of moody, edgy mid tempo songs like "Sportin' Life" and the awesome "The Prophet". Their up tempo stuff is even better. "My Love Is", "Sadie Said No", "Blue Avenue" and "Green Destroys the Gold" are all phenomenal.   WHY NOT CHECK OUT MY EBAY STORE -
