Hello and welcome to The Highlander Treasure House! We sell most everything at a HUGE discount just for you!!!
(This is the vinyl record section of Rock, R&B, Jazz, Country, Blues, Folk, Pop, Easy Listening, Big Band, Instrumental, Metal and other LP sections, including Holiday, Gospel, Comedy, Surf, Hot Rod, Motorcycycles & Drag racing, etc.)
We grade our records, LPs, EPs and 45s using the standard guidelines found in Goldmine's Record Album Price Guide and Jerry Osborne Official Price Guide. It still comes down to our own personal opinion and assessment of condition.
Our job is to sell our inventory (which is already discounted) and with that said, we promise to give you the best deal we can, only reasonable offers will be considered. OK, lets get started...
Our grade given for each album is located in the title or just below at the top of the page, cover first / then vinyl (example: VG/VG+ this means the cover or jacket is Very Good and the vinyl is Very Good Plus) or if both are graded the same, there will only be one grade given.
Grading is as follows:
MINT - Forget about it! Often rumored but rarely seen .
NEAR MINT - A good description of NM is it simply looks like it was just store bought, opened and played. Looks nearly perfect, but because of overly picky collectors, we will only grade albums NM if unopen, which may or may not have a factory flaw on the cover.
VERY GOOD PLUS - VG+ has faint signs of wear. May or may not have light scratches, faint surface noise if any, even minor warping as long as playability is not effected. Basically better than average and well cared for. VG++ even better.
VERY GOOD - Ok, we are in the middle of the road here and always worth the money. A record in VG (average or common condition) Cover has more wear and might or might not have writings, etc. The vinyl has a few more light surface marks or scuffs and will have some light surface noise, but does not skip! Still looks ok and should play well enough. Just not VG+ We are talking a grey area of normal wear .
GOOD - The G graded records are your everyday played and enjoyed by music lovers. These are still very collected and are used as filler records till sharper ones come along. The vinyl plays from beginning to end without skipping, well handled and well loved. Don't discard these, enjoy them (I do!) you may not be able to replace them.
We do a light D4 cleaning (not to be confused with a thorough cleaning, which is recomended) before we ship and professionally pack for safety.
Our shipping and handling is low at $4.00 in the U.S. and only $12.00 to Canada ( $1.00 for each record after that, you will need to request an invoice for two or more, so I can make the price adjustment on the invoice) We charge $24.00 shipping outside the country and only $3.50 for each additional record. (All box-sets will only be $5.95 shipping in the U.S.)
