But if one is able to clear one's mind of all those comparisons whilst giving it a spin, and listen to it purely from a musical and performance perspective, it really is a good collection of songs.
These guys seemed to arrive out of the blue (to most of us anyway), and for a first album it was well conceived, written, arranged, and performed. I never seem to tire of it, though I must admit that I find it hard these days to set aside enough time to listen to it from beginning to end.
If you are a big progressive rock fan and are unfamiliar with this album, I highly recommend it.
