RARE OLD RADIO STATION STOCK! A rare Near Mint album from 1969TRICYCLE
Very hard to find 1969 original first pressing (there was no second press) of a talented popsike band filled with original memorable tunes....wonderfully swingin stuff...
One of the things that made the 60's such a wonderful time for rock and roll is that grown men playing fuzz guitars and singing songs about lollipops, cotton candy, gingerbread cookies, cinnamon, marshmallows, licorice, and candy factories behind pepperland productions. It sounds silly today, but nobody in 1969 blinked an eye when a band called Tricycle cranked out songs like "Lemonade Parade", "Yumberry Park", "Yellow Brick Rainbow" and "Mr. Henry's Lollipop Shop". Truly the end of innocence as the last bastion of our idyllic decade of love came crashing down. Have we matured to a new awareness nearly 40 years later? Tricycle is one of the albums that spins in the background as the listener exists in the world of the living. It's not brilliant but is great, and mostly it's a part of the great escape: the escape from you the masses. Those who love it will just have to rot away with their candy, cartoons, and (heaven forbid!) sunshine music grooves ...
