as a showcase for the musicians on the Fania Records label

In 1968 Jerry Masucci, DJ Symphony Sid
and Red Garter promoter Jack Hooke

put on a series of nights with Fania musicians
and a host of Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican
music's best stars of the late 1960s
