Island Records put out this anthology in 1984, collecting Marley's most crucial cuts from '72 (the year he signed with the label) to '81 (the year he died). So sublime is every second of this music that Legend became the world's best-selling reggae album. For those who swear by vinyl, the double-LP set here (red-green-and-gold vinyl, double gatefold) is the ideal. Tracks include - No Woman, No Cry, Punky Reggae Party, Is This Love, Redemption Song,  Jamming, Buffalo Soldier, Get Up Stand Up, I Shot the Sheriff , and the rest of Legend, with forewords by Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney!
