Up for auction is a rare original pressing of The Smiths album "Hatful of Hollow" originally released in the U.K. on Rough Trade Records (ROUGH 76) in 1984.

Note:
The very first pressings of this record have a misprint on the back cover, with the black dot missing between the songs "Accept Yourself" and "Girl Afraid".  See photo.  These covers are extremely rare.  Near Mint copies with this misprint can sell for over $100.

Condition:
Cover is in very good condition with moderate signs of wear.  No ring wear, no seam splits, but there is moderate wear and rubbing to the seams and corners.  Some light creasing to the inner sleeve.  Still attractive.  Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+).

The vinyl is in good condition, shows some wear and previous handling.  Side One shows some light, superficial hairlines, and I would grade it Very Good Plus (VG+).  Side Two shows several visible  scratches and scuffs, but nothing deep or serious which would cause any skips or loud pops.  I would grade Side Two as Very Good (VG).  I've play tested it, and it's a decent play copy--some light surface noise, but once the music kicks in, you can't hear it too much.  Still a very rare pressing.
