Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.
OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on
any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the
need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.
Payment
is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after
auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in
detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times
delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular)
has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable
and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide
excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.
We use a VPI machine and
thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by
removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml
plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts,
and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.
We
take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please
give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we
will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare
and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.
Thank you for your interest and support.

" Townes Van Zant " 1969
....................................................
VERY SCARCE and highly sought after for good reason!
Although the album was reissued in 1989, this is the hard to find 1969 first print...
These songs spill blood. They shed tears. Simple, unadorned. Often just
vocals and a picking guitar, these songs dig deep into your soul. And
bring out the loneliness and pain. The loneliness and heartbreak you
thought you had buried. From that girl. From this life. There’s a
romance to the loneliness of these songs. Of the love that had to end.
Had to die.
His growing following advise Townes Van Zandt is one of the greatest singer-songwriter
albums of all time. The lyrics being second to none. But it’s the feeling
of the songs that make it something special. Songs that make you reach
for that whiskey jar to dull the pain and make you forget that special
love you once had. Few albums bare your soul like this one, and it
vaults all the way to number one.
On his third album, Townes Van Zandt re-cut three crucial tracks from his debut album, "For The Sake Of The Song," "Waiting Around To Die," and "I'll Be Here In The Morning." It was some indication of the obscurity in which he remained enveloped, but no indication of the quality of his work. (Actually, Van Zandt rerecorded songs from his first album on his later ones because he disliked the earlier recordings.) As usual, his closely observed lyrics touched on desperate themes, notably in the mining ballad "Lungs," but they were still highly poetic, especially the album-closing "None But The Rain," which reflected on a failed relationship. Van Zandt's finger-picking was augmented by spare arrangements, usually featuring one added instrument for color, such as a flute.
Recorded and mastered at Bradley's Barn, Nashville, Tennessee. ........................................................

CONDITION: The cover: rated: VG(+) shelf wear (one of those fantastic wear prone covers (esp the impossible to find without wear back cover) ...anyway it's very sound & solid all over just the wear as pictured. There are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing ... VERY collection worthy ...
The vinyl:
Rated: M- TOP COPY with exception of track 4 side one has a scuff that produces surface, otherwise very nice all the way around despite the fact that POPPY RECORDS are one of the most notorious labels for containing surface in their pressings - even when thee are no marks visual. So this copy is otherwise an exception and overall highly enjoyable despite the one track. Both POPPY labels are perfectly CLEAN- no spindle marks.
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
