Bobby Womack ORIG OZ LP Safety zone UA L35766 NM ’75 Soul funk Bobby Womack Safety zone
Original OZ LP released in 1975 on United Artist Records. Cat: L35766. Comes with printed inner bag which is in Near Mint condition.
During the early '70s, Womack was one of the most prolific and talented artists. With albums like Communication and Lookin' For a Love Again, Womack quickly became one of the most prolific and talented singers in R&B/pop. This album's predecessor, I Don't Know What The World Is Coming To, did show a slight decline in his Muscle Shoals sound and his writing skills. Safety Zone finds Womack getting a sonic overhaul whether he needed it or not. Produced by David Rubinson who was behind the boards for everyone from the Pointer Sisters to Herbie Hancock.
Tracks: Daylight/ Everything’s gonna be alright/ I feel a groove comin’ on/ I wish it would rain/ Love ain’t something you can get for free/ Something you got/ Trust in me/ Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Record and cover are in Near Mint condition.
