PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ eBay requires Priority shipping rates on any order $400+ ~ Also, in the best interest of all of us, safe Express shipping rates on any order totaling $400+   Discount shipping on multiple LPs in same order.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

TOP COPY ... STILL IN FACTORY SHRINK WRAPPER!
*** TRIPPY STEREO SONG MIXES *** this is the HOLLIES answer to the BEATLES "REVOLVER" & "SGT PEPPER" ...psychedelic pop-rock super cool craftmanship! the STEREO release offers speaker separation - more striking listening enjoyment with the trippy sound effects & phased production panning from speaker to speaker !   Original 1967 first pressing of famed & sought psychedelic Hollies ...The Beatles lit the world on fire with SGT Peppers and with 'Evolution', the Hollies answer....   For many Hollies enthusiasts, Evolution (1967) is considered the band's most accessible blend of poprock and psychedelia. The quintet were headed into musical territories beyond simply "moon-June-bloom" and boy-meets-girl lyrics coupled with the tightly constructed vocal harmonies that had become their calling card. Nowhere is this more evident than in the tripped-out cover art from Dutch multimedia artists Seemon Kooer, Marijke Kooer, Josje Leeger, and Barry Finch -- known collectively as "Fool". Although "Carrie-Anne" could be considered an extension of the diamonds within this album, there are clear indications of new horizons on cuts such as the Mod-ish "You Need Love," where you can find the band's pop energy at its fullest, and the cool distorted electric guitar on "Have You Ever Loved Somebody," and the wailing fretwork on the driving freakbeat rocker "Then the Heartaches Begin." Graham Nash (guitar/vocals), Allan Clarke (guitar/vocals), Tony Hicks (guitar/dulcimer/vocals), Bobby Elliott (drums), and new recruit Bernie Calvert (bass/vocals) -- who replaced original member Eric Haydock in the spring of 1966 -- were also taking different approaches and 'turning on' in their writing and arranging, as heard on the trippy "Headed for a Fall." On this tune, you hear Eastern tinges and most prominent is the unusual six-eight time signature, coupled with Hicks' inversion of the unmistakable banjo stringed effects, which is similar to the sound he conjured up on the hit "Stop, Stop, Stop." However, somewhat more atypical of the Nash-era band are the light and limber acoustic and uptempo "Stop Right There," or the baroque "Ye Olde Toffee Shoppe." The processed vocals of "Lullaby to Tim" should make you smile every time you hear the song. "Water on the Brain" has more of the typical whimsy, and "When Your Light Turned on" is once again as powerful as pop could be in the '60s. There were earlier versions of "Have You Ever Loved Somebody" bringing some new colour by the fuzz guitar.
Evolution is clearly an album to enjoy. Often perfectly-crafted, feeling like a positive quality: this is wild, pulsating, living stuff ! Side 1 "Carrie Anne" "Stop Right There" "Rain on the Window" "Then the Heartaches Begin" "Ye Olde Toffee Shoppe" Side 2 "You Need Love" "Heading for a Fall" "The Games We Play" "Lullaby to Tim" "Have You Ever Loved Somebody?"
