Original 1965 rare collectible featuring Bobby Jameson... this obscure West Coast folk-rock collectable original release issued in 1965 is widely believed that a pseudonym for Bobby Jameson who issued at least two collectible '60s albums. ''Songs Of Protest'' has frequently been compared to Arthur Lee's Love.

Produced by Marshall Lieb (who was with Phil Spector). Highlights include a cover of the Leaves 'Girl From The East' who also issued their first LP on 'Surrey Records' although good luck finding a copy - contact us if you really want, but won't come at a low-end basement price.

Highly sought-after and very rare high lost treasure from the US underground...
awesome and magical electric folk/rock loner with totally alienated echoey
studio sounds, early TIM BUCKLEY-like atmosphere as well, some cool swingin’
London type lighter moves, fragile and dreamy vocals...also accents of DARIUS
backed by The LEAVES or JAKE HOLMES backed by GANDALF or
KENNELMUS backed by LOVE...a sweeping sound that’s full of both
darkness and wonder, a desert-mirage rattle-and-strum that suggests
ENNIO MORRICONE dune-surfing in the DEATH VALLEY...

As mentioned above, this guy made another more pop-psych album on “Verve Records” label
under the name of JAMESON.
