Here's a super rare 78 record from pianist Don Hornsby, dated 1949, signed on one side, "March 19, '49, For Jack, Creeesh, Don Hornsby."
Don Hornsby (December 6, 1923 - May 22, 1950), aka Creesh Hornsby, was a comedian and novelty pianist who was slated to be the original host of , American network television's first late night program. This show became The Tonight Show. Just before Hornsby was scheduled to begin broadcasting the show, he was diagnosed with polio and tragically died a week later at age 26.
This record is a two-sided solo piano performance by Hornsby. I could not locate another copy.
