Conway Brothers Hiccups Orchestra ORIG OZ LP EX ’87 Captain Matchbox Jug band Original OZ LP released in 1987 on Larrikin Records. Cat: LRF201.  

Conway, along with his brother Jim, attended Camberwell High School. There they formed the Jelly Bean Jug Band which would later become The Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band. Captain Matchbox would later find success in the 1970s where the group produced seven records, two of which reached gold status. Also in the 1970s, he joined the Pram Factory Theatre and created the Soapbox Circus with Matchbox where he served as the ringmaster, musician, juggler and acrobat. The act would become Circus Oz in 1978. Conway was a member of the Conway Brothers Hiccups Orchestra from 1984–1988 and toured the UK in 1986 appearing at the Edinburgh Festival, the Capitol Music Festival and the Newcastle Festival. In 1988, the Conway Brothers appeared at the Houston International Festival, World Expo 88 and the Perth festival.

  Record has some light scuff marks that cause some light carckles and is in Excellent condition. Cover has some small tears on spine and is in VG+ condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.


Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.


Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
