The Horace Silver Quintet plus J. J. Johnson, THE CAPE VERDEAN BLUES, vinyl stereo LP, Blue Note Records, ST-84220.
Recorded in Oct, 1965 at the Van Gelder Studios in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Released in either late 1965 or very early 1966.
Not sure if this is the 1966 or the 1968 version. I don't know the difference in the labeling if any. There may be differences in the slip covers used (printed vs blank). I don't know. I purchased the record new in 1969.
There is serious water damage to the album cover front and back as can be seen. The vinyl itself is unaffected. There are minor scratches, but no skips. The record plays fine.
The slip cover is blank and free of tears.
The dead wax reads: side 1 - VAN GELDER (stamped) BNST 84220 A-1 (etched) side 2 - VAN GELDER BNST 84220 B
Buyer to include $5.00 S/H.
