Perfect time near Halloween to review this archival release fresh from the makers at Lysergic Sound Distributors as this puppy is fully of the same organ and guitar driven spook psych that dominates the lead track here.   Outside of those lucky enough to possess the original 45's, most of us were exposed to the track Catafalque as a highlight of the near flawless St. Albert's Dream compilation that emerged from the LSD label back in 2013.  That track blew me away and had me salivating at the prospect of a full LP's worth of the same sounds.  This baby does not disappoint in the slightest.  Best way to describe the sound is perhaps as the heavy psych soundtrack to a seance with a more garage 60's vibe added to the same eerie comic book menace that bands like the Sabs/Black Widow/Coven etc were trying to produce around the same time.   The singer coming across in tone like a more deranged Jim Morrison while the guitar and organ rage behind his rantings.  With both the original band and the LSD boys being based in Tuscon, their digging diligence to unearth more of the same from the original band has paid off in spades.  Add in a lovely cover that add to the vibe described above as well as a handful of replica posters and a nice insert booklet telling the story and you have a bona fide killer release of heavy psych loveliness end to end.  Surely a no-brainer purchase for those who's tastes run in this vein.   Now if you'll excuse me while I go flip this LP over and sacrifice the goat I have tied up in the backyard.....
