Dave Brubeck Quartet Carmen McRae ORIG OZ LP Tonight only EX 60 Coronet KLLS1652 Original OZ LP released in 1960 on red & silver Coronet label. Cat: KLLS1652.
Over the next few weeks I will be listing some wonderful Jazz titles from a recently acquired Jazz collection. The original owner passed away back in 1985 and his sister decided to hold onto them for sentimental reasons. She had not touched or played them since then (1985!!). The records are in stunning condition for their age many, apart from a few light age spots on the covers, look like they walked off the shelf yesterday. I hope you enjoy viewing and possibly purchasing these wonderful jazz vinyl artifacts as much as i have in preparing them for sale and listening to them!!
One of the more obscure Dave Brubeck albums is really a showcase for the young singer Carmen McRae who performs nine numbers: six composed by the pianist/leader, one song apiece by altoist Paul Desmond and bassist Eugene Wright and the lesser-known standard "Paradiddle Joe." McRae is in fine voice.

Tracks: Melanctha/ Weep no more/ Talkin’ and walkin’/ Briar bush/ Paradiddle Joe/ Late lament/ Strange meadowlark/ Tristesse/ Tonight only.

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks that cause a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Cover with back flaps has light age spots and is in VG++ condition.
