The second, and maybe as great or even better than the first Electric Prunes Lp, filled with throbbing reverberating electric-psych moves within thrilling songs like "The Great Banana Hoax", "I Happen To Love You", "Long Days Flight" + MORE !
This is the second album by the Los Angeles based psychedelic/garage rock/pop group T H E E L E C T R I C P R U N E S. Although, at the time, it didn't sell as well as their first, which meant nothing in terms of the quality within -- and rightly so, it has since become regarded as a classic album of the 60s psychedelic era and deserves a spot in every hipster's collection. Underground consists of a range of styles that come together to create a strangely cohesive album. The throbbing reverbed-to-the-max psych-pop of "The Great Banana Hoax" and "Wind-Up Toys" somehow manages to lead into the tongue-in-cheek rural-rock "It's Not Fair" and the downright strange but delightful, "Dr. Do-Good." There are a number of solid pop-psych songs like "Children of Rain," "I Just Happen To Love You" and "Antique Doll" that help tie everything together. Psychedelic sounds and textures are abundant throughout Underground, which take otherwise good songs to new levels. It's this attention to detail that has secured Underground and the Prunes' legacy in psychedelic history. Who knows what they could have tapped into had they stuck together and gained full creative control. Certainly in with the best of USA psychedelic sixties ...

The cover: rated: is solid everywhere = "EX" (excellent) front cover, VG++ back cover (notoriously black wear-prone!) ... the front retains original colors....no delete marks, no bends, no writing and no split seams = solid up-grade keeper copy 53 years old!
The vinyl: Rated: is still highly shiny all over, rated: M- please note, as with some 50 years past 60's Lp's the vinyl, while clean, has "age" appearance. Heard a little low end surface as a result but clearly no factor overall -- and has CLEAN WHITE PROMO REPRISE labels
