Fantastic Canadian import 1st release of the original film soundtrack to 'Waterloo' (1971, dir. Sergei Bondarchuk), composed by Nino Rota.

Front cover design features a superb reworking of the original film poster artwork.
The epic historical film starred Rod Steiger as Napoleon Bonaparte and Christopher Plummer as the Duke of Wellington with a cameo by Orson Welles as Louis XVIII of France. Other stars included Jack Hawkins as General Thomas Picton, Virginia McKenna as the Duchess of Richmond and Dan O'Herlihy as Marshal Ney.

Nino Rota ‎– Waterloo (Original Soundtrack Recording) (1971)
Condition (refer also to notes at bottom): Vinyl: VG. Looks superbly clean on visual inspection. No obvious signs of any marks, scuffs or hairlines across either side. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is very good throughout. Some mild surface noise at run-ins to each side and some other interference audible mainly during quieter cues and in between tracks. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. A nice listening experience to this hard-to-find pressing.
Outer Sleeve (Cover): VG. Colours clear and unfaded. Superb front cover. Light discolouration to bottom and hole punch in bottom left corner but corners, edges and spine are in fantastic shape. Aperture shows only lightest of nicks. One or two creases in from some sides. Back sleeve has dark marks round disc ring and discolouration at top. Aperture damage visible here with slight peeling at top centre of that side. Hole punch in bottom right but overall very good. Inner Sleeve: VG-EX. Original. White poly-lined paper with square corners and central hole. Yellowing round top and bottom edges. Minor creases/folds through normal handling.

ITEM CONDITION - items are graded according to Record Collector definitions - see below:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD:
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR:
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR:
The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD:
The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
