JOHN LENNON Sings The Great Rock & Roll Hits LP ROOTS Vinyl RECORD Sealed NEW. New, this is old warehouse stock we found. Sealed, Never Opened. We have opened a copy for pictures to show the inside but be assured you will NOT receive this copy. You will receive a NEW SEALED copy.
VINYL: Mint, Unopened
Old Warehouse Stock Find.
It has been noted previously that an original copy has all of the following:
1. Originals have the word GREAT on the spine and if any copy has the word GREATEST printed on the spine, it is not an original.
2. Original covers are manufactured with white posterboard. If any copy has a paste on cover slicks, its not an original. Though, some that are not originals have also copied the white posterboard manufacturing.
3. If you cannot see the pink flesh on John Lennon's shoulder on the front cover, it may not be an original. Ones that are NOT an original use a slightly enlarged copy of the front cover which in turn cuts out the shoulder.
4. If in the bottom right corner of the cover the letters in the word STEREO run together, it may be a fake. All originals have the word STEREO printed in separate, non blended letters.
5. For originals, on the back cover, the printing on the little album covers in the advertisement are legible. This is not to say they are 100% clear because the print is really small. Non Originals usually have unreadable print.
6. The record, if its original, will not be printed on thick vinyl. Original copies of this record were pressed in 1975, vinyl at that time was not printed with same heavy and thick vinyl as in the 60's.
7. On originals the label on the record is normal sized. In non originals there may be a unusually large compared to a standard 1970's pressing. 8. Originals have the machine stamp BELL SOUND in the trail off area of the record. If tit does not, it may not be an original, though some that are not considered originals may also have the stamp in the dead wax.
9. Original copies also have the matrix number of A 8018 pressed into Side 1 Label, non originals do not have this feature.

Please use this list and the pictures provided as a way to determine for yourself if this is an item you would like to purchase. Our item is old warehouse stock. After reviewing the criteria above, we believe that this records meets all criteria except the #3 "shoulder" criteria, and while we can read the printing for advertisements listed on the back, it seems slightly blurred (#5).

COVER: MINT

HOW WE GRADE OUR RECORDS

SS: Still Sealed, any defects such a "cut-out" holes will be noted in the description

M : Mint, a brand new record.

M-/MINT- : Means mint minus, no notable scratches or wear probably rarely played

VG+ : A used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.

VG : Very Good - a used played copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and likely light to moderate surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages.

VG- : Very Good Minus - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise.

G+ : In the record grading world, "Good" is not good. >From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about beat-up records only guaranteed not to skip.
