Up for auction is a very nice, original pressing of the Lynyrd Skynyrd album Street Survivors, originally released by MCA Records (MCA 3029) in 1977:
-Guaranteed original pressing, NOT reissue -Original banned "flames" gatefold cover -Original tan MCA labels -MASTERED BY CAPITOL stamped in deadwax -Both original inserts -Original and correct MCA inner sleeve -No UPC/bar code on cover -NOT common record club pressing
Note: Originals with BOTH inserts are becoming very difficult to find, especially in this condition.
These covers were very prone to wear, especially the black backs, but this one has been beautifully preserved--hard to find a nicer one that not still in factory shrink wrap.
Condition: Cover is in great shape, no significant signs of wear or age. No ring wear, or seam splits. Most copies you'll find have ring wear on the black back cover, but this one is super nice with only a hint of insignificant rub (see photos). Corners are sharp, clean. Interior clean. No seam splits or wear. Spine is tight, probably has never been opened flat all the way. And titles look clean. Great, clean original cover. Keeper!
Grade: Near Mint Minus (NM-)
Vinyl is also looks beautiful, still retains its original glossy shine. No apparent scratches, marks, or scuffs, but under a strong light, perhaps some faint superficial signs of vinyl having been taken out of the paper inner sleeve a couple times. Labels are clean, no wear around spindle holes. Looks like this record has been played maybe only once previously but handled with care. Grade: Near Mint (NM)
Combined Shipping:
Yes, I offer significant combined shipping discounts. Just ask!
International Shipping:
Because
of unreliable postal services, buyers in France and Italy must pay for
Expedited international shipping, which includes tracking and
insurance. I've had too many records lost or damaged shipping to these
countries. Also, I do not ship to Central or South America, or China.
How I Pack Your Records:
I
remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to
packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for
padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping
box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
100%
satisfaction guaranteed, no risk buying. My 100% positive feedback
allows you to buy with confidence. Returns accepted, no questions
asked.
About Me: -I have been a record collector for over 40 years and a seller on eBay for over 20 years.
-I consider myself a professional, not someone who is selling records he found at a garage sale like many on eBay.
-I try to grade accurately -- beware of sellers who claim they grade "conservatively" -- rarely is that the case.
-I don't just give a record a grade, but I also explain why I give it the grade that I do. -I explain why I describe a record as "original" or a "first pressing" -- most records on sold on eBay as original are NOT. -I visually grade my records, and sometimes spot-test them for audio quality -- I can't listen to them all the way through. -Every stereo system is different, and what sounds good on mine may not sound good on yours. If so, return it. -Every seller makes mistakes not matter how much experience they have -- record selling is NOT a perfect science. -If I make a mistake, or the record isn't what you expected, return it for a full refund -- and I will pay for return shipping. -I have 100% positive feedback for a reason -- and I strive to keep it that way by being accurate about what I sell.
