The Carpenters self-titled 1971 white label promotional album sent to WKBW radio station in Buffalo, New York. It is the Carpenters third studio album and most successful album. It's in great condition having been used by a disc jockey. My Aunt worked at the radio station in the 70s, she passed away unexpectedly in 2018 leaving many promotional records behind for me to have, sell or do whatever with. I decided to sell some of them so her legacy can be shared beyond me. I listened to the entire record through on both sides, even though there are a few small scratches, the record had no skips or warping sounds. The jacket and sleeve are in very good condition in my opinion minus very minor discoloration and the hole in the jacket corner which is another indication of it being a promo version, I don't know why that was a thing but it was. It also has the white label that says "Promotion Copy Not For Sale" I know it is authentic because as I mentioned before they're from my aunt who worked at the radio station as a disc jockey, and I am in possession of many promo records from her.
Let me know if you have any additional questions. I also recorded a video of part of the first song playing in case someone wants proof that it plays. I could always email it to someone if they would like me to!
From A&M Corner website: "The third album from Carpenters was self-titled, CARPENTERS, and gave birth to the now-familiar stylized logo of the duo’s name. As originally released, the cover was a plain tan color with a brown logo, designed in a flap/insert fashion so that if folded properly, the inside photograph would stand up like a picture in a frame. In some European reissues like the Spectrum pictured above, the design was simplified to a standard album cover, moving the logo to the top and putting the inside picture underneath it on the revised front cover."
