Kick Out the Jams is MC5’s debut album and was

recorded live in just two nights at Detroit’s Grande

Ballroom. Since its release in 1969 it has gone on to

be a defining album of punk’s raw energy, being

described by music critic Mark Deming as “one of

the most powerfully energetic live albums ever

made.”  Adam Williams from Pop Matters calling it

“One of the best albums ever pressed.”

The album’s verbally explicit opening sets the pace

for this record. The band is on great form with a

tight rhythm section and fiery vocals from Rob

Tyner. Including the original artwork coming

complete in a gatefold sleeve.
