The entire album is just one seamless flow of dreamy baroque-laced folk/pop/rock. Yes there is a sameness about all the tracks – medium soft, medium paced, with gentle vocals nestled round the same tenor pitch; it could be seen as the album’s strength – the weaving of a consistent mood. And when the melodies are this beautiful, this touching collectors over the globe are willing to shell out a fortune of dollars for the initial release. Glorious arrangements, nylon & reverb/fuzz guitar, flute, bongos, harpsichord, melancholic deep reflections but also generous serves of happy whimsy. All in a sea of wine. “She knows you’re good to be with/ You are a disgrace.”
The name Fairfield Parlour is exactly the same four chaps that were "Kaleidoscope." They short-changed themselves, they are to be seen as one band and what a truly great band they were, this album spin after spin seems to play on magically forever.

The cover: rated: Strong VG++, light shelf wear but nothing enough to make anyone interested turn it away, unless looking strictly mint. This is the original lightly textured very fragile gatefold, still in respectable shape! remember it's past 60 years of age There are no split seams, no delete marks, no faded colors, no writing ...
The vinyl: Rated: near M- all glossy smooth, we'd be surprised if the original owner played it past a few times with his $2500 cartridge... it's clean.
