A clean UK second pressing of Electric Ladyland by The Jimi
Hendrix Experience, on Track Records. This is the sought after version
with the blue text, which sellers regularly hype as the first pressing,
but we have definitively proven is the second version, as explained on the Recordmecca blog.
For those interested, as Ebay doesn't allow links, please search for these posts: "Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland-Proof the UK White Type Version is the first pressing, and the blue type came later", also "Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland--The final word on first pressings and the blue type hype" and "Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland--exposing the blue type hype".
The VG+(+) gatefold cover has the typical lamination creasing to the outside, but the inside is very clean. Both discs are shiny and grade EX to VG++; while there are numerous spindle marks, the album plays very well throughout, with no pops, skips or jumps, and just some light surface noise in the quieter parts. Both discs have the earliest 1 stampers, and the corrected matrix numbers.
A clean copy of Hendrix’s masterpiece.
We grade all records visually, cover first, then disc; using the abbreviations M / NM / EX / VG with + and -. We try to describe everything as accurately as possible, and spot check any vinyl flaw that looks like it might make a sound. We regularly receive praise for our grading, but as all grading is subjective, we are happy to give a full refund for anything you aren't happy with no questions asked.
