Written entirely by Måneskin, the new album was recorded live,
referring to the analog atmospheres of the ’70s bootlegs, with the idea and desire to
recreate the live dimension experienced by the band on their first long 70 date tour
between Italy and Europe. An all-played record, raw, contemporary, capable of
represent the style and sound of the band.
The theater, a metaphor in contrast to the wrath of the title, becomes the setting in which it takes
shape. It’s not anger against a target, but a creative energy that
rebel against oppressive stereotypes. A catharsis that generates, thanks to art, a rebirth
and a positive change.
“Ours is not an anger towards someone, but an anger that moves, that creates
revolutions - say the Måneskin - a cathartic anger directed at oppressions and
oppressors, which leads to venting and rebelling against anything that makes you feel wrong and
which, as a result, leads to rebirth and change. We wanted to place
this very powerful force in a context, that of the theatre, which in the imagination
common is perceived as stylish and peaceful. We like this antithesis: a contrast
who lives the moment the curtain opens and, instead of a show or ballet,
you find yourself catapulted into this burst of energy.
