Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. Outstanding 1969 HEAVY Blues Psych-rock guitar trio that came out of nowhere and delivered a smashing gem, this, the original first TASTE album, featuring the then unknown Rory Gallagher,
who stomps it up all over the place.....
The first "TASTE" of Rory Gallagher to the world. And, indeed, the focus really is on him and his guitar-prowess being the center-point of this album. A classic bluesrock-power-trio that burns the blues like the world had never heard in 1969...standout tracks are all over the place..."Born On The Wrong Side Of Time" has a a great riff and equally good lyrics and hook line making it a classic; a real infectious tune. The guitar tone on 'catfish' is absolutely CRUSHING! "Suger Mama" is a heavy blues shouter that all the legends would have been proud of. Overall its a consistent album that launched Rory to stardom as one of the greatest blues players of 60s-70s with his distinctive sound and catchy riffing, just check out the playing on probably the most exciting track, "Blister on the Moon", excellent stuff!
