The Sex Pistols, Spunk

UK Blank Records LP, BLA 169.

This is the October 1977 first pressing with pink labels with purple text and issued in a plain white sleeve. The first editions were sold in a variety of sleeves, some hand made by the label, distributor or retailer. This one has green marker pen titles to the front, but not being the original owner I cannot be 100% sure that this is as issued.

Matrix A side (etched): LYN 4732-14 BLA - 169 - A MAX 

Matrix B side (etched): LYN 4733-111 BLA - 169 - B MAX

Note that the A side matrix should read LYN 4732-111 but has been etched incorrectly so that 111 appears as 14. 

The plain white inner sleeve is the original issue with PATENT Nos. 1.125.555 at lower left corner and MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN at lower right corner.

Visually the vinyl still has a high gloss but displays a number of scuff marks. No deep scratches or digs. Fully play tested. There is some low level crackle at separator bands and the very occasional quieter spots but on the whole playback is excellent and the album provides a very comfortable listening experience. No loud or consecutive ticks or clicks, just one single isolated tick to A2.

Labels are clean and undefaced.

Inner sleeve VG plus, no splits but a little creased and one or two very small tan marks.

External sleeve complete and without splits but somewhat grubby and soiled and with a more noticeable dark mark to rear panel, see photos. Edges starting to show a little wear and entry side gently knocked.
